Online Trust Coalition in the making

On 11 February, a meeting was held between more than 20 organisations from government, business and the science sector. During the meeting, all the participants expressed their commitment to the formation of the Online Trust Coalition.

In doing so, a step was taken towards working together on the harmonisation of criteria, quality labels and certification around cloud and online services. This is necessary in order to provide assurance, in a straightforward way, about the digital security and privacy of online services. This assurance is needed by both users and providers, but also by regulators and government. The coalition is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the public-private partnership project Partnering Trust.
